ECIL technology transfer pact with C-DAC
Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL), a Government of India enterprise, has signed Transfer of Technology agreement for Internet of Things (IoT) with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), a leading research and development institute of the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY).
- The corporation’s CMD, P. Sudhakar, exchanged documents with C-DAC director general Rajat Moona in the presence of Aruna Sharma, Secretary, DeitY.
Internet of
things :
- Internet of things is all together a new technology, with the help of which current internet will be smartly utilised by a new range of embedded connected things. IoT products support solutions that need remote monitoring and control.
- IoT solutions can be developed with C-DAC products as part of ‘Make in India’ and ‘Digital India’ programs of Government of India.
- The ECIL is planning to utilize the technology for applications like smart cities, surveillance, smart energy systems and water management systems.
